I wrote two articles recently Are Organized Kitchen Cabinets Are Creating living rooms for the future, which led me to question whether living rooms may now be the most important room of the home. I discussed this with decorators, kitchen designers, architects, realtors, editors and friends both into and out of the design business to listen for their thoughts.
Organized Kitchen Cabinets were to cook. All of us have memories in our mothers (occasionally the daddy or single parents) slaving over a stove, working tirelessly over countertops, preparing delicious, filling and nutritious meals the family enjoyed and savored together. In some cases children were advised to maintain from the kitchen mother's workspace %u2013 in order that mother could prep and cook. In many instances children were inspired to join and learn ale cooking, the joy of preparing a family or holiday meal together, thus creating true memories a person can have. Kitchens are not sedate and quiet rooms. They may be rooms full of energy, aroma and texture. They were made with a purpose, one purpose in mind. They were designed to be utilitarian spaces.
With significantly less importance being paid to part ways living and dining areas in today's modern days, the importance appears to be almost solely concentrated on your home space. Much attention has paid on the room's layout, design and functionality. You may still find those who will argue and let you know that their living and dining room areas do matter greatly, even if they are only used once or twice per year. Again, point about this is reflective on lifestyle.
